Builders Fund
The Builder’s Fund is a permanent capital pool within the Darwin ecosystem. Its mandate is to enhance the performance of the platform’s strongest vaults through consistent weekly yield distribution. The policy described below is fixed and will be reflected in the bylaws of Darwin Vaults Corporation.
Vaults are ranked each week based on trading volume during the defined weekly period. Only the top 50 percent of vaults receive distributions from the Builder’s Fund.
Examples:
100 vaults → top 50 receive support
40 vaults → top 20 receive support
Vaults outside the top half do not participate in the weekly distribution cycle. This allocation rule is permanent and not subject to discretionary changes.
All performance and distribution decisions are based on a fixed weekly window:
Start: Friday at 5:00 PM Pacific Time
End: Friday at 5:00 PM Pacific Time
At the conclusion of each window, vault rankings are finalized and weekly distributions are executed accordingly. Historical distributions, performance, and vault rankings will be fully visible through the Darwin front-end dashboard.
Each vault on the platform contributes a 3 percent trading fee to the Builder’s Fund. These fees accumulate continuously and fund weekly distributions.
Profit distribution is fixed as follows:
80% allocated to qualifying vaults
20% allocated to Darwin Vaults operational requirements
These ratios are permanent.
4. Investment Universe and Asset Restrictions
The Builder’s Fund may only deploy capital into yield-producing assets. The permitted asset categories are:
Yield farms with established track records
Liquidity positions in high-volume markets
Cash-flowing tokens with consistent income
Real estate assets producing stable cash flow
In addition, the Fund is restricted to participating only in the top 500 crypto assets as ranked by CoinGecko. This rule limits exposure to assets with adequate liquidity, transparency, and market validation.
Speculative, illiquid, or unverified assets are not permitted. These restrictions are structural and will not be revised.
5. Governance and Permanence
The Builder’s Fund:
Cannot be wound down
Cannot be repurposed
Cannot have its mandate altered
Cannot deploy capital outside its approved investment universe
The bylaws of Darwin Vaults Corporation will reflect these constraints in binding form.
The founders will execute an attestation confirming the permanent mandate, investment restrictions, weekly schedule, and allocation rules of the Builder’s Fund.
6. Future Ownership Structure
As the Darwin ecosystem expands, ownership of the Builders Fund will shift to creators through one or more structured mechanisms, which may include equity distribution, a programmatic ownership model, or a governed token structure.
Creator benefit remains the primary focus of the Builders Fund, both in weekly distributions and in long-term ownership.
